Welcome to Funäsdalen

Thank you for choosing Funäsfjällen and Kåvans Fjällby. Hasse & Co at reception look forward to welcoming you! Before your trip, it can be good to know what to expect upon arrival. Hasse, Alexander and their cheerful colleagues at Stugvärden Funäsfjällen and Gästservice Funäsfjällen will ensure your check-in goes smoothly.

The reception is at Vallarvägen 4 in Funäsdalen, where check-in is from 16.00 on the day of arrival.

The reception is open daily between 15.00–19.00. If you plan to arrive later than 19.00, we kindly ask you to contact the reception in advance. We will then ensure a smooth late check-in is arranged for you.

Self-sufficiency and practical tips

All accommodation in Kåvans Fjällby is self-catering, so it's a good idea to bring or buy items on site such as toilet paper and kitchen roll, washing-up liquid and laundry detergent.

If you have not already added it at the time of booking, the Cottage Host and Guest Service can help you with various additional services, such as bed linen sets (SEK 195/set including bed sheets and 2 towels), departure cleaning (with or without RUT deduction, where the price varies depending on the accommodation), breakfast packages, catering, transfers and activities.

Cleaning yourselves is also fine – cleaning equipment is available in every accommodation.

Everything is handled smoothly through Stugvärden, from bed linen and towels to transport, children's equipment, experiences and extra supplies.

Facilities and surroundings

All accommodation has parking, and several of the properties in Kåvans Fjällby also have an electric car charging point. All accommodation has waste sorting, and some also offer ski storage, a wax room and a bike wash.

In the village of Funäsdalen, about a 4-minute drive from Kåvan and on the other side of Funäsdalsberget, there is a wide range of services including two larger grocery stores, restaurants, ski and leisure equipment rental, as well as a Systembolaget and a pharmacy. Here you will find most things you might need at a convenient distance.

If you do not want to take the car, there are several restaurants on Funäsdalsberget, which are directly adjacent to Kåvan and easily reached on skis. Here you will find, among others, Berggatan 8, Toppstugan and Café Kåvan. Please note that opening hours may vary depending on the season.

At Kåvan Gästcenter, within walking distance of all our accommodation in Kåvan, you can also buy the Fjällpasset – the Funäsfjällens ski pass which is valid in Funäsdalen, Tänndalen and Ramundberget, among others. The ski pass gives you access to over 147 pistes and can also buy online ahead of your arrival.

Code of conduct

For the comfort of everyone, we kindly ask you to look after the apartment well and follow the applicable rules of procedure. Any faults or deficiencies must be reported no later than 11.00 on the day after arrival. Smoking is not permitted, pets must be declared at the time of booking, and silence should be observed between 23.00 and 07.00. Ski boots should not be worn indoors, and the ski storage and wax room must be used for equipment. Guests are responsible for keys and any damage to the accommodation, and the Cottage Host reserves the right to evict guests in the event of bad behaviour or if the apartment is used in any way other than intended. Check-out is no later than 11.00 on the day of departure following a cleaning inspection by the Cottage Host. Keys and any borrowed items are to be returned upon inspection.
